Why Is The Whole World Screaming And Making Such A Fuss About Skyp

I was perusing a Time magazine article yesterday and found that there is a thing called skype phones that was sweeping the internet. You would be amazed what these two bright sparks did to make themselves a small fortune, they sold it to ebay.So why am I getting so pumped up?.Many know it as skype. It is not a new idea, making long distance calls over the internet for free.

So all you have is rig up a phone to your computer and you can see and talk to anyone anywhere in the world using skipe. It is essentail you get a rapid connection as quickly as you can.Video is still in its infancy so you wont always get an amazing picture.

Ebay the massive auction site is also auctioning skyp phones.I guess it's been around for a couple of years already but it's catching on fast..

The bigger commercial telecom firms are beginning to sell voice over internet protocol packages.I guess the question remains is it commercially possible. Is it here to stay or will it have vanished off the face of the net within twelve months

If past experience is anything to go by then we can expect the big players to examine voip in microscopic detail. The government will undoubtedly see the potential and want to add money to their coffers by using voip.At the moment skype makes its money by charging people who phone land lines from their laptop using it

It looks like voice over interet protocol is also at the forefront of web video conferencing as well. Voice Over IP comes pretty close, except that it will be eventually typified as an internet phone service, ready to take that next step of video conferencing which gained a lot of attention years ago

Audio and video are becoming possible for everyone nowadays-in this day and age especially with the massive success of youtube. Some people claim that audio and video will be no big deal but I disagree, I think it will be massive.

Over the next 5 years we will see whether the free skype download takes off in the way many analysts predict. We'll see in the next few years.
