As a normal human being, the state of anxiety is always present though in a very mild form. At times, this turned into a constant bout of anxieties that almost seemed unbearable and thus resulting in what we know as anxiety disorder. There are many contributing factors to the causes of anxiety disorder.
Many doctors, therapists and psychiatrists have different theories regarding what the causes of anxiety may be. Some state that genetics may be the key to understanding anxiety disorders. Others state that it arises from circumstances thus making it a learned behavior. Still others have no real idea as to why anxiety is caused in the first place.
However we may identify some of the more common causes of anxiety as being brought about by a mental condition, perhaps a physical condition or state. The misuse of drugs as well as the effects of certain types of prescribed medications can also become an anxiety cause. There is also the possibility that a combination of the above causes may lead to an anxiety disorder.
Some of the resulting effects of anxiety are palpitations, giddiness, and breathing difficulty, as a result of certain mental conditions as well as weak physical conditions giving rise to anxiety disorders. Still others may feel heavy pounding of heart, weakness physically, numb hands, chest pains, smothering sensations and a sense of unreality which will lead to one believing in him or her having heart attacks or stroke or even having the feeling that one is dying.
Workplace induced stress, school problems, relationship stress such as marriage, or trauma such as death of loved ones, stress from illness, financial difficulty are further contributing factors in causing anxiety attacks.
Other reasons can include coffee and caffeine based beverages, amphetamines like speed, an overactive thyroid muscle, abnormal heart rhythms and other types of heart problems. An example of such a heart problem is mitral valve prolepses.
Illegal drugs like cocaine and other drugs prescribed by doctors will also contribute to the onslaught of anxiety within the patients. Though these medicines will cure the illness that it was prescribed to combat, the side effects of causing anxiety, although undesirable, is a by-product of the prescriptions.
Anxiety panic disorder attacks can occur at any time. These attacks can last anywhere from a few minutes up to 10 minutes and there are even rare cases where a case anxiety panic disorder can last for about an hour.
What the medical professionals know of the causes of anxiety are limited and still remain a hypothetical conclusion. Until we know the exact reasons behind the causes of anxiety, we can only base our cure on what we already know as the possible causes of anxiety in the first place and carry on from there until the mystery is dispelled once and for all.
